Why Own an Elliptical?

Part 1 - Introduction

To find a good elliptical trainer you had to head for a gym or health club. They had all the features you needed and were built really solidly they could take any weight and a good amount of punishment. They have all the advanced features such as heart rate monitoring to really track your workout progress. The foot plates would run on rails to give you a smooth quiet but most of all stable ride. The console would be brightly lit and have all the information about your workout you needed especially the all important amount of calories burned. Home ellipticals were mechanical devices that were difficult to us and quite frankly boring. They just had a dial for resistance and you had to track the amount of time you were working out for on your stopwatch.

This has now changed as home ellipticals have entered the 21st century. All those features you found and enjoyed on commercial ellipticals can now be found at home. So the workouts you really got a kick out of in the local gym can now be just as motivating and beneficial when done on a home elliptical. This is because the cost has lowered for the technologies used on the commercial ellipticals. Home ellipticals are delivered in carry able boxes and are usually easily assembled in a couple of hours max.
